2025 in Review: 1,000 Datasets, Breakthrough Hardware, and What's Next

In 2025, Zander Labs became the fastest-growing company in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 ranking. However, that recognition only tells part of the story. We achieved breakthroughs that are fundamentally changing how humans and technology interact, from reaching our 1,000-dataset milestone to advancing hardware that takes EEG monitoring out of the lab and into the real world.

Here's what we accomplished together in 2025, and what’s ahead in 2026.

1,000 Datasets: Unlocking Calibration-Free BCIs

In 2025, we reached a milestone that brings us significantly closer to our vision: 1,000 unique EEG datasets collected across our labs in Berlin, Munich, and Delft.

These datasets form the foundation for universal classifiers capable of decoding naturally occurring neural responses (focus, workload, surprise, and more) without individual calibration. That means our technology works right out of the box, with no lengthy setup or configuration.

We’re accelerating toward our 2027 goal of 4,000 datasets, and every dataset brings us closer to making passive BCIs truly accessible for enterprise applications.

Hardware That Changes Everything

To bring calibration-free brain-computer interfaces into real-world environments, we need hardware that can keep up. In 2025, we made a major leap forward:

  • V2 Zypher EEG Patch: Our next-generation patch enables comfortable, mobile and extended EEG monitoring outside laboratory settings with easy application.

  • World’s Smallest 24-Channel Amplifier: Developed in partnership with Sencure and showcased at Medica, this breakthrough miniaturization makes high-quality neural monitoring portable and practical for everyday environments.
  • Processing Chip in Alpha: Our custom chip advanced to alpha testing, paving the way for on-device data processing that ensures privacy while delivering real-time cognitive insights.

Together, these advances make continuous, real-world EEG monitoring commercially viable.

Two Years of NAFAS: Building the Foundation

We’re celebrating the second year of the Neuroadaptivity for Autonomous Systems (NAFAS) project. In collaboration with Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur), we’ve laid critical groundwork for neuroadaptive technology that bridges the gap between human cognition and autonomous systems. This project continues to push the boundaries of what becomes possible when humans and intelligent machines operate in harmony.

Growing the Team Behind the Technology

Our team more than doubled in 2025, welcoming 26 new colleagues and 9 interns across our Berlin, Munich, Cottbus, and Delft locations. This growth enables us to accelerate development across hardware engineering, AI research, passive BCI implementation, and business partnerships.

And we're not stopping here, so keep an eye on our careers board for new positions as we continue expanding in 2026.

Recognition and Impact

Our work is gaining momentum beyond the lab:

Deloitte Technology Fast 50: We were recognized as the fastest-growing technology company in the ranking which is a testament to our work and the market demand for neuroadaptive solutions.

BPI France Award: Our pitch won recognition for solutions that have the potential to shape the future of defense and security in Europe.

Media Coverage: In 2025, our organizational and technological excellence has been featured in many media outlets. Among others, our work was highlighted in Emerce, Volkskrant, Frankfurter Allgemeine, and Tagespiegel bringing neuroadaptive technology to broader audiences and sparking important conversations about the future of human-AI interaction.

Connecting with the World

2025 was our most active year so far for industry engagement as we shared our work with global partners, researchers, and innovators.

12 Events Worldwide: From World Summit AI USA and Bits & Pretzels to Slush and Neuroscience 2025, we connected with partners, researchers, and innovators who share our vision.

8 Speaking Engagements: We shared our insights on neuroadaptive technology and the future of AI at NAT25, Cognitive Computational Neuroscience, World Summit AI Amsterdam, and more. Check out our YoutTube for some of these talks!

Our Story, Amplified

We launched our newest brand video this year, offering a glimpse into how we're reshaping technology by learning from the human mind. The video captures our mission: to open an entirely new world of information by allowing machines to understand human context. Because the future of AI is about understanding people.

Looking Ahead: 2026 Plans

We're entering 2026 with anticipation and clear objectives:

Zypher Launch: We're launching the Zypher EEG patch first with partnered institutions, then expanding to universities and knowledge institutes in Q2. Later in the year, we'll open access to additional companies and research organizations.

Partnership Prototypes: We're delivering prototypes to partners throughout 2026. Stay tuned for announcements as these collaborations come to life.

Global Events: Find us at CES, 4YFN , MWC Barcelona, ITEC, and NAT'26 in Q1. We're actively seeking partnerships with organizations ready to integrate neuroadaptive technology into their products and services.
